Ori Halevy is a Berlin-based standup comedian, screenwriter, and television writer with 25 years of experience. Originally from Israel, Ori has written for major primetime television shows and sold scripts to HBO, FOX, and YES. His writing credits include the 2016 hit Israeli comedy “The Last Band in Lebanon,” which was acquired for a U.S. remake.

His funny “go for broke” improvisational style, combined with tried and tested material, has earned him recognition across the English-speaking comedy scene. He performs nightly in Berlin and tours internationally across Europe, Asia, and beyond. Ori has performed at Edinburgh Fringe multiple times with critically acclaimed shows including “Laughing Matters,” “Darkest Thoughts,” and “100 Things You’re Overthinking.” The Scotsman noted: “He is like no comic I have seen…and despite myself, I want to see more.” Midlothian View praised his “impeccable comedic timing and performance ability.”

Ori co-founded Epic Comedy Berlin, one of the leading English-language comedy brands in Berlin, dedicated to amplifying standup and supporting emerging comics. Known for blending philosophical depth with sharp humor, Ori’s work explores identity, culture, and the human condition with authenticity and wit.

Brendan Hickey is a Berlin-based Irish stand-up comedian and co-founder of Epic Comedy Berlin. He holds a master's in philosophy, and his comedy reads exactly as that suggests: the musings of a failed philosopher delivered with the repressed anger of a failed Catholic. The result is a sharp, original style that has made audiences laugh across Berlin and beyond.

Originally from Ireland, Brendan has spent years performing throughout the Berlin English comedy scene, running regular English-language comedy nights across the city and building a reputation for quick crowd work, fearless thinking, and the kind of timing that only comes from doing the reps night after night.

Alongside performing, Brendan brings years of marketing experience to Epic Comedy Berlin, where he leads on voice, content, and community. He co-founded the brand to spread the word about what he calls the hidden gem of Berlin's English-language comedy scene, helping stand-up reach a wider audience while championing the comedians and rooms that make it work.

PRODUCER / SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

A New Zealander with German roots and a Berliner of over a decade, Aaron is the producer and social media manager behind Epic Comedy Berlin, with a career in music and live events that long predates his move into comedy. A producer, DJ, and content creator, he spent years at the heart of Swissbeatbox, the world's largest beatbox community and the channel behind the Grand Beatbox Battle. He joined when the channel had fewer than 30,000 subscribers and helped grow it past 4.5 million, handling all of the audio mixing and mastering alongside much of the behind-the-scenes and community work.

Live events are in his blood too. Aaron has been a part of the sound and production side of the Grand Beatbox Battle since 2015 and was one of the main co-organizers of its 2019, 2021, and 2023 editions, helping stage the biggest event in the global beatbox calendar.

A performing artist himself, Aaron has loved stand-up comedy since he was 8 years old. He fell for Berlin's English-language comedy scene during the COVID years and teamed up with Ori and Brendan to help drag it into the spotlight. Today he brings that same production polish and social media instinct to Epic Comedy Berlin, producing the clips, running the channels, and carrying Berlin's comedy to audiences far beyond the room.
